Coronavirus Resources for Children and Youth

Being a kid is hard enough. Being a kid and sheltering-in-place away from your friends, school, and routines is even harder. Here are some useful links and resources to help make you and your child’s lives a little easier during this difficult time.

www.adventsource.org – Your one-stop-shop for Adventist based resources from books to devotionals and curriculum. Click on the Ministry+ page for additional ministry resources.

www.childmin.org – The official page of the North American Division’s Children’s Ministries Department, this site offers interactive videos, child-centered activities for both indoors and outdoors, stories to read to your children, and coloring and activity pages. This site also includes Sabbath School resources to help you teach your Children’s Sabbath School class online while our church buildings are closed and also provides links to additional online SDA church programming for children. This site is useful for both the parent and the Sabbath School teacher.

www.children.adventist.org – The official page of the General Conference Children’s Ministries Department. Resources are available in multiple languages and include important information on how to talk to your child about the Corona Virus. Also included are links to Children’s Ministries sites from around the General Conference.

www.discoverymountain.com – Have your kids discovered “Discovery Mountain”? One of the most popular booths at the recent Oshkosh Camporee says that they might have and if they haven’t chances are that once they do they’ll love it.  Brought to you by The Voice of Prophecy, Discovery Mountain’s site includes the audio dramas available to stream online for free,  “Stories with Ms. Jean” and an online store that offers cd sets, fan gear and more.

www.kidsview.com – Did you know that there is a youth version of The Adventist Review? Be sure to check out The Adventist Review’s site for their Youth geared publication with stories about youth and written by youth. Online issues are available to read and download.

www.myplacewithJesus.com – Brought to you by “It is Written”, My Place with Jesus offers a child-friendly site with Bible study guides, games, stories, recipes, and videos at the “Tree House”.

https://3abn.org/all-streams/kids.html – A 24/7 live streaming of children’s programming available to on your computer. Also available the 3ABN channel on Roku, AppleTV and some satellite providers.

www.brendawalsh.com – A standard in children’s programming and a familiar face to children around the world. Enjoy songs and stories along with a daily devotional from Miss Brenda.

www.childrensministry.com – Unlimited resources for Children’s Ministries Leaders. This site includes videos, games, coloring pages, curriculum and programming for Children’s classes.  If you have a question about how to do Children’s Ministries this is where to start. Important right now is a guide on how to navigate the Corona Virus with regards to your Children’s Ministry Program.

www.focusonthefamily.com/kids – Creator of many beloved children’s programming including the Adventures in Odyssey radio series and the Otter B book series just to name a few. This site includes an online store with books, multi-media programming and fan gear for the children in your life.

www.whitsend.org – For a limited time Focus on the Family’s “Adventures in Odyssey” programming will be available free for (4) weeks. Adults will need to sign-up for this offer, but no credit card is required. Please note this is a limited time offer made available during “social distancing” and subject to change. Along with the radio programming, this site also includes games, activities and other Adventure in Odsessy materials.

Sermons4kids.org – This resource provides free sermons to use with kids along with an activity-based on each sermon. Available in English and Spanish

www.youth.adventist.org – The official Youth Ministries page of the General Conference, this site includes daily devotionals, downloads, Bible readings and resource guides available in multiple languages.
