Elementary Education

“True education does not ignore the value of scientific knowledge or literary acquirements; but, above information it values power; above power, goodness; above intellectual acquirements, character. The world does not so much need men of great intellect as of noble character. It needs men in whom ability is controlled by steadfast principle.”*

The elementary education segment of the Office of Education in the Southern Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists serves approximately 142 elementary schools across Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North and South Carolina, and Tennessee. Elementary education staff collaborates with Office of Education personnel in eight conferences to develop new curriculum, improve teaching methods, conduct accurate evaluation of student achievement, and recommend effective resources.
