Disaster Response

In the southeast region of the United States, Disaster Response, Adventist Community Services, and the Southern Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists provide services to disaster victims, their families, and communities. When disaster strikes, local church and conference disaster coordinators evaluate the damage and situation, then take appropriate action. If needed, Adventist Community Services and Disaster Response manage warehouse operation where donated goods are stored and organize for distribution.

When a disaster strikes, the Disaster Response Center offers many services including:

  • A clearing house for volunteers
  • Maintaining a list of needed goods and services
  • Provide a channel for monetary and in-kind donations
  • Collect information on official conference response activities
