National Donor Sabbath 2020

In partnership with the AdventHealth Transplant Institute and the organ procurement organization OurLegacy, a Donate Life organization, AdventHealth developed a toolkit of assets and resources inviting Seventh-day Adventist churches to provide donation and transplantation education on National Donor Sabbath.

Donor Sabbath is a national observance, celebrated annually two weekends before Thanksgiving, that seeks to educate faith-based communities on the critical need for donation and its life-enhancing capabilities. This year, it falls on the weekend of November 14. The goal is to help save lives by educating congregations on the importance of organ, eye and tissue donation.

Toolkits have been created, in English and Spanish, that include the following:

  • A pastor information sheet with a general overview, AdventHealth’s commitment to donation and transplantation, speaking notes, social media copy and supportive Scripture
  • A half-sheet education insert with fast facts and myths vs fact
  • An email banner
  • Static PPT slides
  • Social graphics

The Toolkits are availabe from AdventHealth:
