AdventHealth University Earns Maximum Reaccreditation

AdventHealth University recently earned a prestigious 10-year regional re-accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. This is the maximum an educational institution can receive, with no follow-up reports.

“This is an extraordinary accomplishment that affirms AHU’s educational excellence by meeting quality standards,” said Edwin I. Hernandez, PhD, president and CEO, AdventHealth University. “This was truly a collective effort across the campus, especially during the challenges of the pandemic.”

The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges is the body for accrediting degree-granting higher education institutions in Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Latin America. As part of the stringent re-affirmation process, AHU underwent an offsite review, complied with core standards and requirements, and submitted a Quality Enhancement Plan focusing on student learning outcomes and student successes. The association’s six core values are integrity, peer review/self-regulation, student learning, continuous quality improvement, accountability, and transparency.
