Planned Giving
& Trust Services

The office of planned giving and trust services is here to assist local conferences, churches, and members throughout the Southern Union with professional, charitable, estate planning services. We provide gift-planning options for those who wish to financially support the mission of Seventh-day Adventist organizations. Please visit our interactive web site at susdagift.com.

We claim the promise of Luke 6:38: "Have a giving attitude in all you do and you'll get back more than you give. God will return blessings to you abundantly - packed in and flowing over...." (CW) Therefore, one of our primary goals is to assist our members in their desire to benefit family and support the mission of spreading the everlasting gospel, both through current gifting and deferred gifting, with proper estate planning.

Options you can use
Wills, Bequests
Revocable Trusts, Living Trusts, Give-it-Twice Trusts
Retirement Trusts, Education Trusts, Annuity Trusts
Deferred Inheritance Trusts, Charitable Lead Trusts
Income Enhancement Trusts, Charitable Remainder Trusts
Charitable Annuities: Regular, Deferred, or Educational
Donor Advised Fund, "Charitable IRAs"
Outright Gifts

While wills and trusts have long been a part of our program, we now also offer many types of asset and estate plan designs. Whether your estate is small or large, we can help you plan so that you can give it once, twice, or more. If you or a family member needs to be cared for after the death of a loved one, we can also assist you with a program that will meet these needs.

Endowment funds
Many people prefer to include endowment funds as beneficiaries under their estate plan. These might already be in place at your local church, school, and conference. Check with your local conference office to find out what types of endowments, such as education or evangelism, are available.

Who to contact
Each of our conferences and institutions has a contact person to help you establish a personal asset and estate plan. Also, to get indepth information about all the plans offered by the Adventist Church, visit the Cycle of Life site, produced by the North American Division.
