Highway Signs
& Church Identification

The Highway Sign Program, part of the office of communication, currently features more than 2,000 church directional signs and billboards. The Southern Union employs the only full-time sign engineer in the world. In addition to new signs, hundreds are inspected and maintained yearly to ensure a positive image of the Church.

Need a sign? Here's what to do...
- Meet with your church board to determine the number of signs they wish to erect.
- Next, decide where you would like the signs to be located.
- Notify the Southern Union sign engineer, letting him know you need assistance with signs.
- If the sign is to be placed on private property, written permission must be obtained from property owners
- Obtain permission with either the city, county, or state Department of Transportation (DOT), depending on where your signs are to be located. The sign engineer can help you with this.
