The office of youth outreach is part of the publishing department, and coordinates the youth publishing ministry
of the Southern Union Conference. The Youth Summit
and Magabook program offers college- and academy-age students the opportunity to participate in literature evangelism, while also earning tuition money.

Youth Summit Summer Job Opportunity

Dear Student:

Greetings from the Southern Union Publishing Department. How may we be of service to you? It is our earnest desire to see you succeed in obtaining a Christian education. Well, if you are serious about getting an education without having a large debt hanging over your head when you graduate, then we have good news for you. College age students earn an average scholarship of $4000 - $6000 and academy age students an average of $2500 - $4000.

We have only three requirements. You need:
1. A desire to grow in Jesus
2. Passing grades in school
3. A good work record

We will provide:
1. Witnessing, Christian fellowship, and Bible study
2. Seminar and field training
3. Food, housing, and local transportation
4. School scholarship funds

Inspired counsel tells us, "The very best education young men can obtain is by entering the canvassing field and working from house to house.....The Lord has instituted a plan whereby many of the students in our schools can learn practical lessons needful to success in afterlife....This work is a means of education. It is an excellent school for those who are qualifying themselves for the ministry....and they will learn many practical lessons which they could not possibly learn in school. This is especially applicable to you who are working toward a degree that will require you to daily deal with people. Examples of this are those who are majoring in education, social work, business management, nursing, theology or religion, with the intent to do Bible work, pastor, or go to the mission fields.
