Evangelism Conference (EC3)
Alejandro Bullón, was born on December 7th, 1947, in Peru. Pastor Bullón is a world renowned evangelist. Most of his ministry was developed in Brazil, Ministerial Director for the South American Division, where he worked for 17 years. Throughout his ministry Bullón has conducted evangelistic meetings on all 5 continents, in churches, stadiums, sports venues and many other large arenas.
Bullón is the author of 38 books, which some have been translated into multiple languages. In acknowledgment of his ministry, life achievements and dedication to the advancement of the Gospel he received a doctor Honoris causa from the Peruvian Union University in 2002 and Andrews University in 2016.
For the last 20 years Pr. Rubén Bullon has dedicated himself to training the lay members of the churches preparing them for the fulfillment of the mission of sharing Christ. Pr. Bullon also does harvest evangelism campaigns, where the focus is to help people decide for Jesus.
He has been invited to preach in mass campaigns of evangelism in stadiums, public squares and coliseums throughout Central America, South America, Europe and the USA presenting Christ as the great solution.
In addition to evangelist and trainer, Pr. Bullon writes regularly for Adventist and newspaper publications in the Texas area and also helps with the production of evangelism series for 3ABN Latino and Esperanza TV.
Pr. Bullon began his ministry in Brazil. Presently Pr. Bullon is the Hispanic Evangelist for the Texas Conference.
After attending church schools from elementary to high school, Dr. Doggette continued his academic pursuits at Oakwood University where he earned a B.A. in Ministerial Theology. He was also awarded the Warren-Mosley Homiletics Award for demonstrating one of the highest standards of preaching excellence in his class. He later earned a Master of Divinity degree from the SDA Theological Seminary at Andrews University then continued on to earn the Doctor of Ministry degree from The School of Theology at Claremont University. His areas of emphasis were Liturgy, Homiletics and Church History.
Dr. Doggette’s ministerial career has taken him on an exciting and productive 3+ decades trek that includes pastoral stops in Louisiana, Arkansas, California, Ohio, then Alabama where he co-founded and built the Madison Mission SDA Church. While pastoring in Madison he also served as a fulltime Professor of Practical Theology in the Religion Department of his alma mater, Oakwood University. He labored in that capacity for 20 years.
In May of 2013 Dr. Doggette returned to the Southwest Region Conference of SDA to assume the post of Senior Pastor at the Bellfort SDA Church in Houston, Texas as its 9th pastor. While there he led that historic congregation to a new name – World Harvest Outreach of SDA, a new 3,000 seat facility and a renewed evangelistic focus. After a short stint at the Kansas Ave. SDA Church in Riverside, CA, he accepted the call to the Patmos Chapel SDA Church in Orlando, Florida, where he currently serves as the Senior Pastor.
Dr. Doggette is known as an expository preacher, a practical teacher and a church growth specialist. He has preached and conducted workshops across the globe and has been the recipient of numerous recognitions and awards. His ministerial philosophy of “Conservative in Theology, Liberal in Methodology” has been embraced by a generation of emerging ministerial voices in Adventism.
Dr. Doggette considers his wife, the former Erin Davis to be a special gift from God and his #1 supporter. He also considers his family, which includes sons Shawn, James Jr. (Demia), Austin (Aisha), Milton, daughter Tatyana, and granddaughters Morgan and Noa to be his decided advantage.
His favorite text is 1 Peter 5:5-7 which constantly reminds Him that, “God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
Kleber De Oliveira Gonçalves, Ph.D.
Born in Brazil, Kleber D. Gonçalves has served the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the areas of publishing work, church planting, teaching, and pastoral ministry. After the conclusion of his graduate studies at Andrews University, in 2005, he accepted a call from Sao Paulo Conference, Brazil, to start the New Seed SDA Church, a church-planting project focusing on secular/postmodern people, where he worked as the founding and senior pastor for more than 10 years.
In 2015 he received the call from Andrews University to serve as an Associate Professor in the World Mission Department. At the beginning of 2016 he was appointed as the director of the Doctor of Ministry Program at the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary. Concomitantly, he is also the director of the Global Mission Center for Secular and Postmodern Studies (CSPS), Office of Adventist Mission, at the General Conference. Areas of particular interest to him are urban missiology, postmodernism, church planting, leadership, and discipleship.
He is married to Nereida C. Gonçalves, a registered nurse, and they have three children: Isabella, Nichollas, and Gabriella.
Brad M. Griffin is the Director of the Fuller Youth Institute, where he develops research-based training for youth workers and parents. A speaker, blogger (fulleryouthinstitute.org), and volunteer youth pastor, Brad is the coauthor of Growing Young, several Sticky Faith books, Right Click: Parenting Your Teenager in a Digital Media World, and the series Can I Ask That?: 8 Hard Questions about God and Faith. Acclaimed speaker and writer, Dr. Andrea King has been preaching since she was fourteen years old. Her ministry has taken her throughout the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the Caribbean and the continent of Africa, preaching and equipping people for a life of victory. Though she has traveled to many places, she serves as the senior pastor of the 16th Street SDA Church in San Bernardino, CA, and is very active in the community.
Dr. Andrea is author of two books: Finding Christ and The Queen in Me. She is married to her partner in life, love and ministry, Pastor Kurt King. Together, they have two children. Currently, Dr. Andrea is the president of the Black Adventist Ministerial Fellowship (BAMF) and the Prayer Coordinator for the Inland Empire Concerned African American Churches (IECAAC). She has pastored for over 15 years.
Dr. Andrea studied at Fuller Theological Seminary, where she earned her Doctor of Ministry degree. She earned her Masters of Divinity degree from the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary and Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Ministerial Theology and Communications from Oakwood University.
Dr. Andrea is passionate about prayer, praise and establishing the kingdom of God.
Pastor David Klinedinst serves as the Resident Evangelist and seminar speaker with the Iowa-Missouri Conference for the Saint Louis Metro area. He has been involved in various forms of evangelistic ministry for 20 years: serving as a district pastor, Personal Ministries Director, and full time evangelist. He conducts public evangelistic campaigns in the United States and overseas, and teaches practical training seminars on witnessing and personal evangelism.
He has spoken in the United States, as well as in Africa, Australia, Europe, the Caribbean, and the Philippines. His desire is to see a passionate, mission-minded, lay driven church where each member is looking for opportunities to plant seeds for Jesus. David’s passionate style of speaking has engaged all types of audiences.
David has been married for 22 years to his wife, Marquita. They have two precious daughters, Melaney, 13, and Emiley, 10. He loves traveling and is always ready for a good game of basketball. Marquita is a registered nurse, but most important, his partner in ministry. She speaks for various women’s ministries retreats and prayer conferences in North America and beyond.
Evgeni Kovachev is a pastor, church planter and church coach.
Evgeni planted two churches in the suburbs of Austin TX. He used a creative way of preaching the Book of Revelation in order to reach secular, young professionals and families. Currently, pastors in North Mississippi where he works on a plant in Tupelo MS followed by a plant in Oxford MS. Evgeni, has presented multiple times on a Church Planting rallies and Evangelism Conferences in Texas Conference of SDA. Topics include: Starting a new plant, Discovering your Vision, Values, Purpose and Mission, Building a Core Team, Keep mission and Compassionate Service in Focus.
Vanya, Evgeni’s wife, and his two sons (16th and 9) have been integral part of his ministry and evangelistic meetings.
Wayne Krause specializes on the South Pacific Division’s (SPD) Discipleship Team in the areas of Church Planting and local Church Health. He is also the director for Mission to the Cities for the SPD.
He is very passionate about seeing people far from God becoming life long, multiplying disciples. He is known for having his “office” in a coffee shop, so he can be in the community.
Wayne began his full time ministry as a youth pastor and then transitioned an established church to a mission focused church of predominantly young professionals. He then planted a church that he pastored for 18 years that has helped birth six other churches.
Areas of interest for Wayne are: Disciple Making, Church Planting, local Church Health, NCD, Small Groups, Coaching and interacting with secular people.
Wayne received his Doctor of Ministry degree in Church Planting and Leadership. He is married to the love of his life, Tracey, and they have one daughter—Jessica.
Pr. Allan Machado currently serves the Lord in the Florida Conference as the Assistant to the President for Strategic Planning and Senior Management for Communication. He has served the church in various places and capacities, including as pastor, Youth Leader Director, Volunteer Lay Ministry Coordinator, and as Vice President for the Florida Conference Spanish-language Ministries.
Pr. Machado holds a DMin in Pastoral Ministry from Andrews University and serves as an adjunct professor in the university’s Theological Seminary in Berrien Springs, Michigan. Pr. Machado is currently working on the thesis for his second doctorate, PhD in Philosophy with an emphasis in Religious Education. He is also the author of Creados para Adorar and Transformación: Metamorfosis espiritual bíblica.
His desire is to serve Christ Jesus in the advancement of the gospel for the glory of God and has dedicated his life to proclaiming with passion the love of God and His saving grace. His greatest pride and joy is his personal relationship with God, and the love of his wife Elsa and their children Alan, Erich, and Tatiana.
Gabriela Phillips is the Coordinator for Adventist-Muslim Relations for the North American Division. She has over 20 years of experience in ministry among Muslims in Central Asia and currently in the US. Her passion is to find the footprints of God among Muslims and to explore biblical ways to develop and nurture faith in cross-cultural contexts. She has an MA in intercultural studies and is currently pursuing doctoral studies at Andrews University.
Pastor Preston has served in the gospel ministry for the past forty-one years and has pastored churches in Albany, GA, Raleigh, NC, Greensboro, NC, Atlanta, GA and Macon, GA. He also served as the Secretary of the South Atlantic Conference of Seventh-day Adventists for six years. He is a distinguished speaker and has had the privilege of preaching across America as well as overseas in England, New Zealand, Bermuda, Bahamas and Africa. It is his desire to take this gospel of the Kingdom into all the world as commissioned in Matthew 24:14.
He served as the Senior Pastor of the West End Seventh-day Adventist Church in Atlanta, Georgia for ten years where he delivered the Word of God with great zeal and eloquence. During his tenure at West End, the Lord used Pastor Preston to add over 100 souls to the church each year through baptism. He undertook a $1,000,000+ church renovation project which was completed in June 2010 and because of his vision, the church was also blessed to purchase a former Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club building, now known as the West End Family Life & Community Center which is being used primarily for community outreach. Pastor Preston was recently elected and now serves as the Executive Vice President/VP Ministerial & Evangelism of the South Atlantic Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.
Pastor Preston has been married to his college sweetheart, the former Wynona Wimbish of Akron, Ohio for forty-one years. God has blessed their union with three adult children, Devon, DeNeil and DeShawn and one grandchild, Preston Levi.
Pastor Preston enjoys meeting people, traveling, reading and sports. His mottos are: “Never give up” and “I will survive.” His favorite Bible text is Romans 8:37, “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.”
Jose Rojas serves as President of MOVEmentum, a ministry that exists to improve the cultures of organizations through the development of servant leaders. MOVEmentum reaches across cultural, ethnic and linguistic lines to inspire and train a new generation of servant leaders, resulting in a more effective evangelism, church ministry and denominational administration.
As an ordained minister of the Seventh-day Adventist Church for 36 years, Elder Rojas brings a breadth of experience and leadership to the cause of MOVEmentum. For almost 20 of those years, he served first as director of Youth Ministries, then founder and director of the Office of Volunteer Ministries at the North American Division in the World Headquarters of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Silver Spring, Maryland.
As a national leader, Elder Rojas was also called upon to work closely with the White House, assisting the President of the United States in implementing a variety of humanitarian objectives for domestic policy that met the needs of millions of Americans. After serving in a presidential summit on volunteerism in 1997, Elder Rojas worked with General Colin Powell to launch the national organization, America's Promise Alliance, resulting in over 70 Adventist tutoring centers for underprivileged children across the United States.
An accomplished musician and recording artist, Elder Rojas has also authored several books and is best known to us as a passionate speaker and preacher of the Word. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Religion and a Masters degree in Religion with an emphasis in Sociology from Loma Linda University.
He is still madly in love with Ruthie, his wife of 37 years and their four grown children, Veronica, Angelica, Gabriel and Maria.
Eduard and Sonia Schmidt work for the NAD Evangelism Institute. Currently he is the director. During the last two decades, they have developed and taught Master’s and Doctoral level classes in the areas of equipping and mobilizing for evangelistic ministry, church growth, personal and friendship evangelism, and pastoral ministries. They have been involved in personal and public evangelism for the last twenty-three years, conducting reaping meetings and visiting interests.
They find their greatest joy in personally leading people to experience the joy of salvation found in Christ, equipping them to become disciples who live up to their full God given potential, and empowering members to be ministers in the community, reaching the North American Division and the world with the distinctive, Christ-centered, Seventh-day Adventist message of hope and wholeness. They live in Southwestern Michigan.
Jeff Tatarchuk is a theologically trained entrepreneur and evangelist who lives in Berrien Springs, MI. He and his wife, Joyce, own and operate Life RX Fitness (www.liferx.fit) and he also is the Founder and CEO of Fruition Lab (fruitionlab.org), a non-profit that was started to inspire, educate, and connect faith-driven entrepreneurs. His previous experience also includes creating CRAVE, an evangelistic outreach for students on public universities campuses and TheHaystack.TV, a multi-media platform curating content for SDA young adults, He also worked as a conference evangelist for Southeastern California Conference. His passion is to re-stoke the flame of entrepreneurship in the SDA church.
Pastor Morris Thompson is the Pastor of Discipleship at the Miami Temple Seventh-day Adventist Church in Miami, FL. It is through this role that he is able to live out his passion for discipling church members and new believers through leadership development and small groups. He has spent time presenting seminars on topics such as spiritual leadership, organizational leadership, discipleship, and has conducted small group leadership training for pastors and laymen throughout the United States, Europe, Central America, the Caribbean, and South Africa.

Pastor Morris holds a master’s degree in International Administration from the University of Miami; a Master of Divinity degree from the Andrews University Theological Seminary; and a bachelor’s degree in Theology from Southern Adventist University. He is currently a doctoral candidate for the Doctor of Public Administration degree at the West Chester University of Pennsylvania. He is a native of the Washington D.C metro area and is happily married to his best friend and wife Juanita.
Barry Tryon is a Professor of Church Ministry at Southern Adventist University. Prior to coming to the School of Religion at Southern, he pastored in the Florida and Pennsylvania Conferences, and served as Executive Secretary and Ministerial Director of the Pennsylvania Conference. He is married to Lilly (Boles) Tryon, DNP, who teaches in the School of Nursing at Southern Adventist University. They have two young adult sons.
Larry Witzel is a respected innovator with a passion for harnessing technology for ministry. He is Founder and President of SermonView Evangelism Marketing, a ministry that helps churches throughout the NAD get more people through their doors. He lives with his wife and two children in Vancouver, Wash.
