Performance standards describe what students who attend Seventh-day Adventist schools in the Southern Union should know, understand and be able to do as a result of their schooling.  Click on the links in the submenu of the left menu to access Early Childhood, Elementary and Secondary standards. They have also been embedded for easy access in the 4MATION program, the preferred web-based lesson planning tool for Southern Union educators. To access the 4MATION program, go to www.4mationweb.com/4mationweb or click on the link in our Quick Connect box on the right.  For Southern Union educators, at Login Username type in your teacher email address; for the password, contact your local office of education. Teachers are to use the above mentioned standards to plan instruction and to select appropriate resources for delivering GREAT education.

Performance standards cover all aspects of the curriculum for given subjects and grade levels.  Southern Union educators will achieve the Adventist EDGE mission by developing in students:

•    Acceptance of God
•    Commitment to the church
•    Interpersonal relationships
•    Responsible citizenship
•    Healthy, balanced living
•    Intellectual growth
•    Communication skills
•    Personal management
•    Aesthetic appreciation
•    Christian work ethic for career and service

When these changes are implemented, students are prepared to be productive, Christ-like citizens in this world and in heaven, the ultimate goal of the Adventist EDGE.
