Adventist EDGE - Adventist Educators Delivering GREAT Education

Key to the Adventist EDGE are the Adventist educators who are delivering GREAT education. We invite all of our teachers to be a member of this exceptional group of educators.  We encourage all to be God-centered educators showing evidence of a personal relationship with God, sharing his/her faith and extend discipleship to students, parents, administration, colleagues, constituent members and others in the community. As Jesus had a gentle loving demeanor, Adventist educators are to exemplify the same because they are his representatives in the classroom.

Says Christ: "Love one another, as I have loved you."  The souls of the youth that are brought under your roof are as precious in the eyes of the Lord as are the soul of your own dear children.  When young men and women are separated from the softening, subduing influences of the home circle, it is the duty of those who have the care of them to make home influences for them.  They would thus supply a great lack and would be doing a work for God as verily as the minister in the desk.  To throw around these students an influence which would preserve them from temptations to immorality, and lead them to Jesus, is a work which heaven would approve. Ellen G. White, Counsels on Education, Proper Education, p. 52.

The NAD Kindergarten Stepping Stones program is based on the belief that kindergarten is a stepping stone between home, early childhood education, and the primary grades of school. The program recognizes that young ones are created in God’s image and must be nurtured to think, learn, choose, and grow.  It is responsive to individual differences in developmental stages, abilities, and interests.

Check out the Kindergarten Stepping Stones’ Blog pages for up-to-date information on the kindergarten Stepping Stones program.
